We love Autumn!
Autumn is one of our favourite times of year at Sharnfold Farm, and we’re already embracing the autumn spirit as we prepare to welcome visitors back to our much-loved Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch.
Our pumpkins don’t just appear overnight! We’ve spent months preparing for the season, from planting each pumpkin earlier in the year to carefully monitoring their growth throughout the summer. This year brought the added challenge of an extended heatwave, meaning our team worked hard to keep the pumpkins healthy with regular watering and plenty of care.
Thankfully, all that hard work has paid off, and we’re delighted to say our Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch is looking better than ever!
What can you expect?
As soon as you arrive at Sharnfold Farm, you’ll spot our pumpkin patch on your left, beautifully decorated with autumn displays, Halloween-themed props and plenty of picturesque backdrops. It’s the perfect place to capture those seasonal family photos and make lasting memories.
Whether you’re searching for the perfect carving pumpkin, a miniature pumpkin for your autumn display or something in between, you’ll find hundreds of pumpkins in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours waiting to be picked.
How much do the pumpkins cost?
All pumpkins are priced individually by weight, so you only pay for the pumpkins you choose. This means you can pick exactly what you need, whether it’s one special pumpkin or enough for the whole family.
Planning to take home a bigger haul? Don’t worry, we’ll have wheelbarrows available to help you transport your pumpkins with ease.
Make a day of it
Entry to Sharnfold Farm is just £7.45 per person when booked online in advance, giving you access to the entire farm as well as our Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch.
Spend the day exploring our play areas, meeting the farm animals, enjoying a bite to eat in the café and making the most of everything the farm has to offer. Whether you visit the pumpkin patch first or save it until the end of your visit, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
Bringing your dog?
We know many of our visitors love sharing days out with their four-legged friends, and we’d love for them to enjoy the autumn atmosphere too. However, as our Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch is located within the farm and close to our animals, dogs are not permitted inside the pumpkin patch or on the farm.
This helps us protect our pumpkins, maintain the highest standards of animal welfare and ensure everyone can enjoy a safe and welcoming experience. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
When can I visit?
Our Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch is open every weekend from 3 October until 18 October.
If you’re visiting later in the month, don’t worry! Our Sharnfold Spooktacular returns during October half term, where you can enjoy our Halloween-themed trail and even add a Pumpkin Carving Experience to your visit.
