It feels like this year has flown by, but spooky season is finally here and we couldn’t be more excited! Halloween is one of our favourite times of year at Sharnfold Farm, and our team has been working hard behind the scenes to create a magical autumn experience for the whole family.

Every year, our Halloween-themed farm trail is filled with autumn magic, spooky surprises and plenty of opportunities to make lasting family memories.
As you make your way around the trail this October Half Term, keep your eyes peeled for:

- Fantastic autumn and Halloween photo opportunities

Add a Pumpkin Carving Experience
Why not make your visit even more memorable by adding our popular Pumpkin Carving Experience?
For just £6.95 per carver, you can skip the mess at home and create your Halloween masterpiece here at Sharnfold Farm.
Choose your pumpkin in the Sussex Barn before heading to your carving station, where you’ll find everything, you need to create your spooky design. Once you’ve finished, simply take your pumpkin home, ready to display on Halloween night.
All the fun and none of the clean up!
Our Pumpkin Carving Experience is recommended for children aged 3 years and over, and adult supervision is required throughout.
How your day works
Your ticket gives you access to the farm from 10:00am until 4:00pm, so you can enjoy a full day out. The only timed part of your visit is your Pumpkin Carving Experience, if you’ve booked one.
When you arrive, simply head to either our Pre-booked Admissions or On the Day Admissions desk to collect your wristband.
Before setting off on the trail, we recommend visiting the toilets or grabbing one of our delicious seasonal drinks from the café, as there are no toilet facilities part way around the trail.
Children will also be offered an activity sheet at check in, packed with fun things to spot and complete as they explore the Halloween trail.
If you’ve booked pumpkin carving, please arrive at the Sussex Barn five minutes before your allocated time slot.
Each carving session lasts 45 minutes, allowing our team time to clean and prepare for the next group. Please note that pumpkin carving is a standing activity. If you or a member of your party has accessibility requirements, please let us know before your visit and we’ll do our best to help.
Before your visit
To help you make the most of your day, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Sharnfold Farm is an outdoor attraction, so please dress for the weather. October can bring sunshine, wind and rain, all in the same day!
- If wet weather is forecast, we recommend bringing wellies, as some paths may become muddy.
- We make every effort to keep the trail accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs, although some areas may be more challenging in wet conditions.
- Due to fire safety regulations and limited space, pushchairs are not permitted inside the Sussex Barn. A designated buggy parking area will be available nearby.
- During particularly busy carving sessions, we may need to limit entry to one accompanying adult (non-carver) per carver to ensure everyone has enough space.
- We do not have storage facilities for carved pumpkins. If you’re driving, you’re welcome to return your pumpkin to your car and then re-enter the farm by showing your wristband.
